Most of the time I'm busy with something that, more or less, maxxes me. Washing, mopping, etc. hygienic actions help me to maintain good health and, at the same time, to burn some calories. The bodybuilding (dumbbells, expanders, push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, squats, jumping, running, biking, etc.), step aerobics, martial arts and yoga are adding some muscle mass, keeping me lean and fit, and also, at the same time, help me to maintain good health. The chess and the reading/learning are helpful to relax, to improve your thinking and knowledge (and they also burn some minimal amount of calories, if you care). Adding to all these comparatively healthy diet, regular hydratation (drinking more water, washing often hands and face, taking showers at least once in 24 hours), non-smoking, no hard alcohol drinking and some relaxations (meditation, arts, etc.) is making me looking much better than others who're even 30 years younger than me.
So, you should do the same (or almost the same) if you want to have more chance/-s to ascend.
