El Diablo Restaurant, Spanish Lanzarote

Built in the crater, El Diablo Restaurant is in the Spanish island of Lanzarote. We call it the volcano restaurant, because the whole place actually sits on an active volcano. The specialty here is barbecue, of course, it is not an ordinary barbecue. At El Diablo, chefs cook their food using the heat produced by the volcanic heat underneath them. Shangri-La

Baroque Church St George

The baroque church Sveti Jurij was probably build in the 12th century and was consecrated in 1344. It is situated on a hill from which you have a nice view on the city and the coast. Next to the church is the Campanile which was build 1608 and is one of the town’s landmarks. It’s a smaller copy of the St Marco campanile of Venice. From there is a street up to the city wall which you’ll see from the church, but it was a hot day and we didn’t feel like climbing up anymore! Another path goes along the shore, down to the beach.
