Because so few people are willing to be brutally authentic, other people see your authenticity and feel attracted to you and forget for a second that they are learning from you because you are a foundation, the rock of honesty and fairness.

Not all of them. Many people are going to even hate you once you're honest with them. Not everyone values it. It depends of the level of education, experience, thinking, culture, etc.
 

Honesty can be a very valuable thing when no one around you is brave enough to give you honest feedback, and if you are, it is an important part of your life.

Of course; usually the truth is useful, valuable and can be a goal of our lives.
 

The ability to be honest even in situations like this is a measure of your integrity, strength and ultimate success.

May be, but only in the better and nearly ideal societies and groups. Not every time honesty brings success.

 It's an (almost) AI article.  Let me write my opinions about its concrete contents.

The moral imperative to be honest requires that we speak and act only in a way that creates and justifies trust.

The trust is subjective more or less. Some people are not able to trust you at all, because of their previous bad experience. So it's possible but not necessarily.

Honesty is a positive social trait...

Yes, but in cases when some dislike it, it becomes a negative thing. Yes, the reasonable people will like that you're honest, but there are people who will even hate you that you're telling them the truth.

However, it is possible to be too honest where what you say can hurt your feelings and harm your fellow human beings.

That's the problem! For some people every honesty level may be "too honest". You never know who will value and who will not value your honesty (and to what degree/level).

In the eyes of society, this kind of openness and honesty is sometimes a terrible crime, and I hope that you will have the courage to be that honest.

Not in every society. Just there are some individual, groups who really have this kind of attitude. And it's not worthy every time to sacrifice yourself for this kind of people.

When you begin to build your life on a rock with the cement of faith that good people have in you, you have a real beginning. You become extremely self-confident and grounded when you know that you are always honest with yourself and others, even if it comes at a high price.

Depends of who you are. For some persons it may be discouraging (i. e. causing someone to lose confidence or enthusiasm; depressing). "High price" isn't a good stimulus for most of the people. It may be a kind of negative reinforcement for many of us (like "If honesty leads to high price, than I'll be not honest and I'll safe troubles for myself.") So, it's not that simple.

 За нова пандемия казват от СЗО да се подготви светът. Исторически погледнато пандемиите са част от живота на човечеството (и на много други живи същества), затова от СЗО напомнят, че трябва да сме подготвени (и то по-добре), когато се сблъскаме със следваща пандемия.
 Правилно са отбелязали, само че дори в момента, по време на тази коронавирусна пандемия, виждаме продължаващи протести и всякакви други събирания на голямо количество безотговорни хора къде ли не по света. С толкова голяма маса хора, които не се страхуват достатъчно (или въобще не ги е грижа) и разпространяват потенциално всякакви зарази, качеството на подготовката едва ли ще е много по-добро. С настъпването на студените месеци сега (есента, зимата и ранната пролет) сигурно (най-вероятно) ще има пак все повече и повече нови случаи на заболели от коронавирусната болест, а оттам и повече смърт, повече увредени здравословно хора, повече икономически проблеми... (те и в момента съвсем не са малко на много места по света!) Положението не е никак розово. Видя се, че с ваксините нещата не стават бързо (а и никой не е казал, че задължително за всеки вирус може да има успешна ваксина).
