I love nonsense words. What better passwords than ones that can't be dictionary hunted? Now typically in most places I use passwords with unicode because they are harder to brute force but not all softwares allow unicode for passwords.

In the same vein, I never use the same password nor nick twice. It's just a habit.

I think this is a common problem all around the world.

Actually there was a law that prevented this from being done in the media. Obama got that law changed to make it legal to put out the same sort of propaganda as what was used in the Radio America stations domestically.

The town you have linked to is used because it is photogenic for the movies. The town I live in was created during the railroad days of the wild west. It is neither photogenic nor particularly noteworthy. It's more a lazy town because the heat of the summer, no one really wants to get out in it if they don't have to. During the dog days of summer you can quite literally fry an egg on the sidewalk.

I guess everything is completely artificial as usual in your art works?

Absolutely 100% correct. Nothing you see in the image is real. You will notice in the screenshot at the bottom, is a render near finished. It lists the time remaining, screen resolution it is rendering at, and the amount of polygons in this particular scene that make up what looks to be grass, trees, and other items in the image. From time to time I include these for two purposes. One is that it ensures if I get close in an image so it fools the eye, you can tell it's not real; it's CGI. The other is in it's own way it verifies I was the artist as that is the only one who will have that info. So it wasn't taken from someone else's work as they would not display that info in the image.

I use a collection of quotes and sayings I have saved over the years. As interest has been expressed in them for this thread I'll post them after they have been used. They are more effective when they are seen for the first time.

The signatures are changed every day from a list that I keep. I find something interesting in that, I save it and it shows up later. I have another large list containing 'One Liners'. They are something like what a comedian would sling out there. Some are not suitable for a family type atmosphere so in keeping with the intent of the rules here they won't be displayed, humorous or not.

It is nearly always my intent to educate or learn as I go. Surprising what you pick up over time. If you don't mind I will wait until the list of quotes have been used to post them. Many are political in nature, some are pithy in their content, some just startling in their revelations. They are more effective when you see them for the first time. But these are habits I've developed over the years to be a contributing member rather than a lurker.

What I have found here at this site seems to be some individuals who think, seem to be well educated, and are courteous to a fault. Not that it is a bad thing, it isn't.

I shamelessly stole Alexa's post #5 for future reference. Why? Because I collect such and have a long, long, list of my own. This will just be added to it.

It is from sources such as these that I get my signatures for forums and the like. Over the years, I've amassed a fair collection, just like the recipes. I doubt I will need to use them here but over time you'll see the daily change to the signature and that's where they come from. I've not much need to rip off websites to do such.

To add to your lists here I'll contribute one off that list.

Do you think the Mexican immigrants are so many and is it a real problem or just some people freak out about the Mexicans? Is this immigration comparable with the current one in Europe?

This will be an opinion answer. My opinion may not fit with others. In ways, it is similar but not at the same volume that Europe is dealing with. Most of what I read they are seeing are juveniles coming in to get away from the gangs and drug ring influences. From what I read, there's not much future there for young people. Their choices being join a gang or join with a drug ring. Neither are considered healthy for long life.

The US is losing jobs and has been bleeding them away for the 20 years or so. Various trade treaties that favor the corporations do not favor the American worker but rather put their jobs in competition with other labor markets who can do so at lower wages. So you see lots of offshoring jobs, the cost of labor being seen as another cost the same as materials. Very carefully what is stated about unemployment fails to mention that the majority of the jobs created are low wage, limited hours, when they are available. Now throw into this mix, immigrants willing to work for lower wages that the average American worker can not afford to work at and maintain a family living expenses. It creates resentment. The working middle class has been gutted and then saddled with increasing taxes to make up for the decrease from a lack of jobs. This in part is what is driving the voter revolt in this cycle's elections. The public tends to call this part of the elections the 'silly season'. Meaning there is no telling what you will hear and it is often not grounded in reality or the reality is so thin as to be stretched completely out of proportion.

What it appears to be is that South American countries are sending their young for economical benefit, which isn't one of the recognized, allowable immigration acceptance policies. Some countries such as Cuba have a standing acceptance policy. If you make it to the US border and are from Cuba then there are set programs in place for them. Financial aid, education aid, housing benefits among them. With the warming of reactions with Cuba, there are reports that many are coming in from Mexico to be with families they have been separated from for a long time. The amount coming in has increased quite a bit from what I've read as the Cubans are afraid with the warming of diplomatic relations these aid programs will be cut.

The majority of Mexicans and Latinos don't have the same aid packages waiting. The issue now is the uncontrolled mass migrations coming in are also seeing a few of the Middle East attempting to come in through that way. Whether that is the truth or propaganda to stir people up over the lack of border controls is the question. The US is well known to use the media for it's own purposes to distribute such propaganda to push their own agendas. You often have to take what you hear in main stream media with a huge grain of salt and ask yourself who benefits. Chances are very good, only the government in some form of control. Americans have been lied to so long from their government that many don't totally trust what they hear anymore.

To quote Ronald Regan:

Quote
The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

a foreign couple was arrested in a Muslim-Arab country, because they did the illegal kissing on the beach.

You wouldn't have that trouble unless the kissing became intense along with a demonstrated desire to continue in public with the rest of the act it leads to. Just expressing affection in public will raise little in the line of interest.

One of the odd ball laws that have been being used by prosecutors is sexting. Where school kids encourage young ladies to take naked selfies and then send them to the requester. Often those get passed around between friends. But it violates child porn laws. Many have been arrested and charged with either making pedophilia materials or distributing them. This under current laws makes them a sexual predator by legal definition and gives them a life long mark on their records of being a pedophile. In many states once being found guilty, they are required to register with the state and keep the state updated on where  they live. A public list is published of those. Those found guilty then have a difficult time the rest of their lives finding good jobs, housing, or any sort of security requiring job. It's plainly over reach by prosecutors to run up a successful career.

is it legal to set up an electric fence around your yard?

I could do so without incident. The key here would be to hang signs stating it was electrified. Getting a package from UPS or FEDEX might be a problem then. I have a couple of pastures for horses and mules across the street from me.

While the programs I use are capable of animation, my computer resources are not. These take a lot of computer horsepower. For instance the specs on my present computer are:

i7 quad core, hyperthreaded cpu, oil cooled
16 gigs RAM
2 gigs vidram

With this rig, it takes roughly 10 to 12 hours sometimes, to convert a 3D image that can only be seen in the program to a 2D image I can show. That's called rendering. The time depends on the complexity of the image. The RAM available determines how complex the scene can be as it must hold it in memory while doing calculations. There are times while I run out of both Vid ram as well as hardware RAM.

Movies that do these CGIs use what is known as Render Farms. Render Farms are a series of expensive computers, all networked together for this purpose.

The reason these images take so long to do is the computer calculates how many times a light beam will bounce off an object and at what strength. This in turn determines the tint or shade of a single pixel.

It's like actually making a movie. You have lights, a multitude of cameras, settings for the focus, the shutter speed, even film type settings. Then there is the setting of the stage, the exact positioning, the making of props, the making of the textures; all this is time consuming and isn't figured in the render time. The render time is for after the scene is done and you want to show someone else. I did say in an earlier comment that this had a steep learning curve.

Then there are programs that do one thing better than another. So you have to know about more than one program and how to get results out of them. Each one is very much like an onion. The deeper you go into it, the more you find out you don't know.

When you manage to make an animation you are looking at a huge file, data wise. The whole object of all this is to fool the eye. The human eye has this remarkable ability to almost instantly determine what is real and what is fake in this stuff. It's very hard to fool it, even when you do everything right.

2 cups Chicken Stock
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 cup Tomato paste
2 tbls Soy sauce
2 tbls Brown sugar
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 dash Allspice

Remaining ingredients

4 lbs. Chicken, breasts and thighs
1/4 pound Mushrooms, sliced
2 tbls Margarine or butter
11 ozs mandarin orange sections, drained
1/2 medium to large bell pepper, sliced lengthwise
1/4 tsp Ground ginger
3 tbls Cornstarch
1/4 cup Cold milk

Marinade: The night before you plan on slow cooking your dinner, mix together the marinade ingredients in a large, closeable container large enough to also hold the chicken pieces. When marinade is thoroughly mixed, add the chicken, close container and refrigerate until morning.

In the morning place the chicken in the slow cooker on low and cover. 6 to 8 hours later, turn the cooker to high. About an hour later, saute the sliced mushrooms in the margarine or butter. Then add the mushroom (with pan juices), mandarin sections, green pepper and ginger into the slow cooker and stir thoroughly. Mix together the cornstarch, milk, cold water, then gradually add into the slow cooker while stirring until the entire mixture thickens a bit. Re-cover the slow cooker and let simmer for 15 to 30 minutes until serving. Serve with baby carrots and small new potatoes.
