Online therapy


Online therapy! I read about it just a few minutes ago. It was time to appear something like this -- online therapy.

So, what I learned about it. Not much, but pretty enough. Listen, the online therapy is similar to person to person therapy, but rather than meet in an office, clinic or hospital, you are able to (with a webcam and a microphone), meet with the therapist (the online therapist) anywhere that best suits your needs. I tend to agree.

But how do you think about it?


As I said right now, I tend to agree with this. What about you? Any ideas, experience, thoughts?

Online therapy and Offline therapy

 Online therapy is as the online teaching. I had an online student (his English name is Morgan). His education was very successful. So, I do suppose so: if the therapist is skillful, knowledgeable and good enough, the results of the therapy should be the same as the offline therapy ones. 8) Well, the patients (the clients) are different, too. So, probably, it's not the same good for each and everyone patient/client, but I think that online therapy and "the old school therapy" (i.e. the offline therapy) are almost the same.
A fan of science, philosophy and so on. :)

Well I agree with that. I've learned from a teacher who works in psychology and psychological for 15 years and once he told me this: normally working in therapy requires face-to-face meeting and conversation since only then the therapists can understand their patient problem and feeling. While talking online (or rather, chatting online), therapists can't see patients' face and they can understand how their patients feel for sure. This is especially important since many patients don't even know what kind of problems they are facing, in many cases they even ignore their current mind conditions (like believing they are 100% true and all other people are wrong).
And so... yeah, I don't believe in online therapy, unless they can talk face-to-face but if it's just posting and chatting then no. Sorry resolving issues don't work that way.
