Title: Keywords targeting the home page

Hello friends,
Facing a small problem please advise me what should be done in this situation?
Client has given some keywords but all the keywords are not targeting the main page but some of them are coming in search with inner pages of website. So to target all the keywords for home page do I have to start the SEO from the first step?
Members please give your valuable suggestions.

As Concern if the keywords having place in SERP with internal pages, then i guess you might have to continue optimizing with that pages which are listing in SERP's. Rather than starting up with homepage and it actually consumes your much time.

First of all, I check my industry which web page I have and I check my keyword volume & competitor and then I am select the keyword in wordtracker tool for keyword research.

 Yes, IntegratedS. Start it from the first step. Then it'll be more sure that you're not missing something. And don't forget the on-page SEO.

You should be use domain name keyword for targeting home page URL.

For this you need to submit for a particular keyword you home page link.. And create some business profile list...
