Japanese Square Watermelons

  According to local media reports, the price of these square watermelons is around 10000 yen for each. It's about 800 Chinese yuan or 124 dollars for each. They said the early idea for these square watermelons was to keep them easily in the fridge. The side length is about 15 cm and it's about 6 kg heavy.

 I saw them long time ago. Nevertheless, good to have this plant (watermelon) topic. By the way sometimes I eat watermelons.  :D
