When the Search Engine come on your website and read the webpage content,this process is called crawling. After crawling caching the page, the spider takes the copy of that web page with it and saves it on the Google serves it on the Google server, this process of saving the web page on its server is called Google indexing.

when Google bot read your site pages it's known as Crawling and when it's crawl it's cache and it's index in Google database is know as indexing....

Google first cache any website or blog and after that crawl and finally indexed it on own server.

Difference between Indexing and Crawling is Keywords of your content should be crawled by google or any serach engine first and then your website should be indexed.
