Arab Dates
An Arab date is a traditional food in the UAE that is served with rich, thick coffee or used to break a fast. Date palm trees line the streets and produce this delicious fruit.
Date palms are grown in more than 40 countries. The Arab world has more than 84 million date palm trees, 70 million of which are in Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, Bahrain, Oman, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria.
The ancients called Arab dates "sweets on the trees". They are popular in the Middle East and North Africa region as a common food for thousands of years. Arab dates have very high nutritional value and they are also known as the Desert bread.

We saw this kind in a supermarket and it was from Xinjiang.

I think they're tasty. I ate them many years ago. Recently I don't eat them and I can find them often around my, at the nearby markets. But it's okay, because we have enough cheap, tasty and healthy food around.

The fruit of date palm is ideal food that provides a wide range of essential nutrients and it’s good for the health too. I like to eat dates with yoghurt that gives a special taste.
