  I think that the reason Voat.co haven't many people from China now (and some other countries) is their Google's captcha. I can't see/can't use it here (in China), because Google is banned in PRC and as I know it's banned not only in PRC, but in some other countries, too.
 (I think if Voat.co change this captcha or just add 2nd one, it will be very helpful and useful for the traffic of their site and they may get many new voaters. :))

Let's take a careful look:

1. Reddit's Global rank -- The rank declined 9 position versus the previous 3 months.
2. Voat's Global rank -- The rank improved 48,064 positions versus the previous 3 months.
 

+ 48064 for Voat.co and - 9 for Reddit.com.

That's really something!

It's true, but the Reddit.com's Global rank currently is still much better than the Voat.co's Global rank and these ranks are 33 (Reddit.com), 11254 (Voat.co). (As I already suggested if the administrators of Voat.co change or add an alternative CAPTCHA, then most probably many new visitors will be able to participate well in there and then the ranks will become better!)
