Scientists and Medical facilities have been working on this forever and it seems there might be a cure on the horizon.

 I hope so. The problem with all these discoveries, innovations, etc. is that not many are getting implemented in the real life. I remember I read about so many discoveries years ago, in many fields (medicine, technology, etc.) and then... nothing. Because there are many reasons to stop them: can't get enough money, can't get permissions, can't..., can't..., can't...
 That's why, when I see something like this I'm glad to share it, but I never hope too much to see it in the future working.
