The thing that impressed me most is that long cooking time. It have to be one of the most long cooking meals I ever saw.  :)
It reminded me a story I heard from my father about some of his friends. Many years ago a hunter shot an... eagle. And obviously he never did it before, because he has to cook the eagle meat around 10 hours ('boiled eagle'), before it's at least in a bit normal level for eating.

The long cooking time has to do with it being a meal prepared in a crockpot. Crockpots are slow cookers designed so that you can put your food in it to cook, leave for work, and come home to a cooked, hot, meal, ready to go. Crockpots don't get really, really, hot. They get hot enough to slowly cook. It is one of the easiest ways to get cheap, tough, meat to be tender.

As a side note, had I thought this was an important note to accredit the author, I could have just taken a picture of my crockpot for the image. Since it came from Wikipedia we are again at the Creative Commons copyright licensing, which unless otherwise specified, is similar to public domain.

If you are not aware, Creative Commons came about due to the 'ownership' theme constantly associated with Intellectual Property. (Intellectual property being a debate all in itself.) Due to changes in the law, anything is copyrighted at the moment of its' creation. So how do you get people to share something without breaking the law if they don't wish to keep the copyright? That's what  Creative Commons addresses.

I'm not a very big fan of the stews, but, honestly, this one looks good and interesting (apples + carrots + potatoes... really interesting).
Now, let me explain about the 'attribute the author' thing, because it's not what it looks (I meant everything is FINE; NO PROBLEMS!). ;D I am the one, who use it the most and teach others (here) to use it, because of only 2 reasons: I explained all this, because I don't want you to think that someone from us (the regular ones) is angry to you or against you. I only want to tell you how it came we to attribute every time the authors. You don't need to do it. For example I read 100% of your posts and when you have some photo from Wikipedia, I may (during answer you) to attribute the authors in my post (I think it's the same). :) So, just everyone -- enjoy here and don't worry at all.

Yep. It's just good, but we don't insist. Take your time. Everyone can add a bit credit (attribute) to the author under the posts. No need even to edit. Soooo... we're cool with it. 8)

After my first reaction it seems we are walking around on tip toes. So let's clear the air here. I am in no way upset. I had mentioned I would use the experience as a learning one. Such as here is one of those.

As to some background on this from me, for years now, I try every day to become informed on some manner that the industry that uses Intellectual Property as a way to protect their kingdom. On nuances I like to consider that I am probably better informed on these matters than my average peer.

It was in the nature of being informative, rather than expressing any sort of displeasure that the post was made.

Very good. Everything is good: that we may discuss something food and non-food related in all of your recipes; that you're informed about this; that you're a positive (like most of us) and can't get upset easily. All these are making me glad (and even -- happy.) Too bad I have to leave soon, but I hope to enjoy here more tomorrow evening (most probably). :)
Best wishes to all around!!! And a little virtual on-topic gift: LIST OF STEWS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_stews
