Cranberries are really neat fruit. Normally during Thanksgiving, my lady always has to have a can of the jellied cranberry sauce or it just isn't Thanksgiving. While they have two diffferent styles of jellied cranberry sauce, one with whole cranberries in it and another without the whole berries, she prefers the one without for the taste but not the problems that come with trying to cut through them while slicing the jellied can contents.

Take a look here at the way they float the berries right after picking but before being sent to the processing plant. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cranberry)
