We have a lot of longans around. If someone never heard of this fruit -- a photo: (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3a/Frutos_Ex%C3%B3ticos-LonganFruit-002.JPG)By Surukuku (Nelson Ramos-Lopes) - Minha Autoria, Public Domain, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=2466383. I like to eat longans. 龙眼 (lóngyǎn) in Chinese literally means "Dragon Eye". :)
And I like almonds too, so I suppose this Almond jelly is something very yummy and delicious!

Dang, can't give you any more karma. I would say maybe tomorrow but you will have posted something else worthy of upvoting.

To tell you the truth, we keep this 'karma' thing here only because some netizens think it's fancy/cool/necessary. It has no matter for me and it's an optional function (this software gives the administration the power to choose with karma or without karma and I choose 'WITH', because I think the profiles are prettier with karma and because I understand how those netizens like it and they like to vote.) The good part in our community, which we mentioned before, when we discussed why here is better than in Reddit, Voat and others, who suffer downvote/upvote brigading, is: In a word: Don't worry about the karma numbers here, we're beyond this, but we're anytime ready to help in case there is brigading. :)
It's good to know that over there, you people, also can enjoy the healthy longans! 8)

The best way ever! Votes, but limited and controlled, when there is vote manipulation! I never check the karma points/numbers. I form my personal opinion based on what the person do/post, not how many downvote/upvote him/her. (It's a sort of political, but I think that most of the people are not clever enough to know what to vote up and what to vote down. Democracy is good enough, but I think the best form is meritocracy + technocracy. It means only people, who are good and knowledgeable, should have the power to control and lead. For example, if I need to eat a good almond jelly, I will want some good and professional chef to cook it for me, not some retard or some doctor, who never cooked some food. ;D :D :) )

As you mention, some folk set great store by their karma or whatever measurement you use as a kudo. I've seen them get in knock down drag outs over these meaningless numbers. When the site goes off line you find out just how much they mean.

Still when someone puts up a deserving post it is my habit to reward them for participation. Like you, I've been in the Admin slot before. If for no other reason than to keep people happy or to get them to think their posts are worthy of being read by others, I'll give them out often.

It's as much habit as it is participation. Makes whoever did their post think someone else read and appreciated the post. Me, I don't really worry about it. If a topic or post is worth reading, it will be read. If not, it will be ignored by the body at large.

Hey! Hello! :)
3 edits:
1. My post, because it was wrong.
2. MSL's: edited 1 word: 'for' ---> 'form'.
3. Mojo's: repaired the 'Insert Quote'.
Good recipe!  :) :) Cheers!

Thank you Alexa. I was creating the post and got a break in the middle that another post had went up during the time I was typing. It threw me off as it was the first time I had seen that. Learning all the time about the differences in this software.  Much appreciated.

100% agree! And one question-idea again: I knew you was a moderator or an admin (now I know exactly -- 'admin') in some comparatively popular forum. And now I got an idea and here it is: If that forum doesn't exist anymore and if nobody cares about it, and if you still have the last backup (or at least SOME backup), don't you think it's a good idea, to reanimate it? We may incorporate it here (for example in a 100% free sub-domain -- there are many free subdomains -- one of my friends use a free subdomain here to promote her books, because she is a writer). So? If you think it's a good idea AND, if you keep at least one backup, I think you will be more than welcome to reanimate that forum HERE or AROUND HERE (subdomain style). Think seriously about it, because (according to my humble counting: if it was capable to bring around 10 000 visitors daily, it's at least USD 40 per DAY!)
I make this offer/idea publicly, because I'm open and frank as much as I can, and I don't think it's something bad.

Ah so now you gonna get me to fess up. *chuckles* It's probably not a good idea at all. You see it was one of those sites that was not exactly legal, being a file sharing site. In this case it would be smarter to let sleeping dogs lay.

Oh, it's not just illegal in many countries, but it's also NOT suitable for Google AdSense. You know the AdSense rules are pretty strict (and I would say -- moral). :)
I do agree -- let sleeping dogs lay in this case! :)
Btw, it's a very wise decision a person to stay far away from this kind of online activity. Better safe, than sorry, you know. :) (I just imagined something like recipes website with unique (i.e. not copy-pasted) content, and I was like: "Wow! It's a golden opportunity!"). At least now it's clear. :) (One good psychologist and comparatively famous in Europe usually answered to the boys, who wondered if they should say to the pretty attractive girls they like them: "Yes, you should do it. If the beauty refuse to be with you, AT LEAST YOU WILL BE CLEAT ABOUT IT!" 8) 8) And now I use the same modus: "Better clear than nothing." :) )
