The Desert Rose is a house plant. One that can not stand lower temps. It blooms once a year.

At the beginning I thought it's another of your digital art images and now I see it's in the 'Plants' board. :) What I want to say is your images are all pretty realistic! 8)
I think I met before something about this interesting plant. But I'm no quite sure. Very good choice, anyway!
 Adding more information here:
Rosa stellata is a species of rose known by the common names desert rose, gooseberry rose, and star rose. In Texas this type of rose grows on dry rocky places to 6500 feet, such as the Trans-Pecos. It occurs in the mountain canyons of Arizona and New Mexico. It has trifoliate leaves, deep rose purple blossoms and yellowish white prickles on the petioles and stems. Some horticulturists considered to be a browse plant.

Rosa stellata can be used as a groundcover or small shrub and grows best when partially exposed to sunlight. The purple flowers bloom in the summer and it typically grows to be between 16 and 24 inches tall.

Yes, it is. The leaves resemble a kind of ficus leaves.
