To exploit presentation sharing sites like slideshare.net and scribd.com, follow the steps below:
1. Find good keyword related to your website. Low competition is best.
2. Create attractive and valuable presentations, save it as PDF or Powerpoint.
3. Don't forget to put your link inside the document with your targeted keyword.
4. Upload to slideshare.net and scribd.com
5. Bookmarks the links.
6. See the traffic coming in.

Mainly by following search engine guidelines regularly and by generating organic back links from dofollow websites. Even though by following social networking sites one can easily have a traffic.

It's just an useful alternative for improving your ranking on Search engines besides forum seeding, guest bloging, directory... I did try and found it quite effective.  :P
