Hello,
I am having a confusion whether to index my categories or not? I have Googled about this and I get two different opinions.
On Yoast's site, I read a post which says index categories but not tags.
Some other place, it says dont index categories as it can lead to content duplication and a penalty.
I even read a case study on Moz where someone got his site de-indexed because of indexing categories.
For time being, I have them as don't index but would really like to understand the best practice, the reason for the recommendation.
