Food carnival

(in South China)

It's cold today and it's rainy, but we went to a food carnival. We took a lot of photos (and as you know it's a challenge to upload them all at once, but I'm trying)...
Let's start it.

-

-- this one is cooking a kind of Chinese hamburger. I ate it a few times (a month ago), so today I didn't eat this, because I'm trying to regulate my weight.

-

-- some Chinese snacks. I don't eat this.

-

-- a lot of Chinese soft drinks with colorful straws.

-

-- different Chinese food products (which I don't buy).

-

-- different Chinese kebabs. Sometimes I like to eat these kebabs. Today I didn't.

-

-- Chinese tofu. Sometimes I like to eat tofu, but today I didn't buy it.

-

-- the next tofu over there.

-

-- Chinese baozi from Tianjin. Their name is 'Gou bu li bao zi' (狗不理包子). Well, I wanted to try it, but... because I'm on diet... I didn't.

-

-- Chinese fried baozi.

-

-- some Chinese food from Fujian (the Taiwanese is the similar, as far as I saw and tried). I don't like these kinds of food, because they're too oily (greasy) for my taste.

-

-- pretty, but spicy (hot) local (Lingshui's) Chinese peppers. I don't like to eat them, but I like to watch them.

-

-- Lingshui noodles. Usually I like to buy and eat these noodles, but today I didn't because, you know -- the diet.

-

-- Chinese zongzi. I eat it once a year.

-

-- a special Chinese fruit ice-cream 'Gooble'. Mango ice-cream and lemon ice-cream:

-- the same 2 Gooble ice-creams.

-- the mango ice-cream outside of the box.

-- and the lemon ice-cream outside of the box.
I tried the mango ice-cream and I ate the lemon ice-cream. You know that I like lemons, lemon food and lemon flavors.

-- again one of those greasy things I mentioned above. I don't eat them.

-

-- Korean food (in China/from China). There is a Korean minority in PRC (China).

-

-- the same (Chinese Korean food).
I like Korean food, but this one is not one of my favorite, so I didn't buy.

-- colorful and tasty noodles dish, but... the diet

. So -- "No, thank you!"

-- a Chinese food, which is very popular around, but I never tried it.

-- another Chinese food.

-- Chinese coconuts/Chinese coconut food. It's a coconut jelly dish. But I'm on diet, so...

-- Chinese meat dish. I like this bamboo stuff under it.

-- Well, I'm on diet (I think you remember it already

), but this Chinese food was too new, too crispy and too fragrant, so I had a dish of it. Now I do sport more tonight to burn more calories.

-- another Chinese food.

-- Chinese food from Danzhou, China.

-- a very pretty set. I like to eat this kind of local food, but because of the diet now...

-- another pretty Chinese dish.

-- an amazing Chinese dish (with tai chi and the eight trigrams).

-- Chinese chicken toes dish. It's popular, but I don't like it. (I suppose the sauce is tasty, but I didn't try it. Today, in fact, I ate not so many things -- a new /for me/ dish with chives, some potatoes, an ice-cream, 2 lamb dishes and I think that's all.)

-- Chinese pork food.

-- more of the same; as you may see on the picture, people eat it with some greens and rice.

-- it's a new (for me) dish. I heard it's popular in Guangdong. Chives and rice flour (rice powder). I think it's very tasty.

-- Chinese sea snails food. I ate it only a few times ago.

-- dried seafood from China.

-- jars with alcohol and herbs from China.

-- dried beef from Danzhou.

-- yellow and red.

-- black-and-white.

-- these two are really so beautiful with those Chinese traditional pictures.

-- the potato dish I ate. I eat it for the second time. I think it's so-so. And I don't think I'll order it anymore.

-- new kind of local alcoholic drink (12%). Different flavors. Probably we'll post about it more, because I bought 2 boxes (for home). They're sweet (according to my taste). I don't want to drink them again.

-- lovely monkeys art.

-

-- that's interesting. Bottles with females' body shape and traditional Chinese dress (cheongsam or qipao).

-

-- many bees on a Chinese man.

Now, I'm going to continue it. A lot of photos, a lot of energy and time we need in order to upload them and to link them, and to explain about them (taking photos is easy, but then... not so easy, especially when they are many!)

Part 3... Let's begin with some places and people there:

-- the Sanya pavilion. People are walking inside and around.

-- the staff of another pavilion, which is selling and advertising Chinese alcohol.

-- an old tool for making tofu. Some people still use it nowadays.

-- Food (lamb kebabs) from Xinjiang (PRC). You may see the lamb kebabs and these Uighur people.
We bought and ate 2 kebabs.

-- A Chinese girl is so happy to meet somebody in a dinosaur costume.

-- kids are trying to make some pottery. Respect! (I did some at school.)

-- also some lamb food, but can't compare the taste and the feeling with the Uighur one. To tell you the truth I even felt a bit sick after I ate some of this. I don't want to eat it anymore.
